    Octane Eye Surgery Online Consumer Snapshot for Week of May 28, 2020

    Eye surgery related online search behaviors are beginning to normalize and return to pre-COVID19 levels. In addition, state-by-state differences in search behaviors are diminishing, while overall eye surgery related searches continue to show strong week-over-week volume increases.

    • Cataract, LASIK, and glaucoma related search volumes continue to show strong week-over-week increases (Chart 1).
    • This week showed a normalization of eye surgery related search volumes on a state-by-state basis. States that remain under strict quarantine regulations, however, continue to lag in their return to pre-COVID search levels (Chart 2).
    • Glaucoma treatment and glaucoma surgery related queries continued to show significant increases for the month of May (Chart 3).
