    Future Focus at Tech Innovation Forum 2022

    Tech Innovation Forum was a huge success! With over 25 presenting companies, two days of exciting content, and great networking, the event brought together the best of the Southern California tech ecosystem. Held at AV Irvine in Irvine, CA, day 1 kicked off with an introduction from Octane CEO, Bill Carpou and event emcee, Chris Huff, Chief Growth Officer of Kofax.

    One of the must-attend keynotes was from Michael Colglazier, CEO of Virgin Galactic. Colglazier discussed the possibilities of space travel as well as the inspiration that it sparks within all who experience it. The keynote covered how Virgin Galactic hopes to bring space travel to a wider audience as well as the scientific discoveries made possible by space travel.

    On Day 1, panel highlights also include The Changing Face of Aerospace in Southern California, War for Talent – Managing and Recruiting Employees and Remaining Competitive, and Creating a Healthier Future with AI. The day also featured a Startup to Scale-Up workshop hosted by Octane Capital and Growth. However, the real must-attend event was the Cocktail Reception hosted together with presenting sponsor FivePoint and featured live music from artists provided by Trubify

    Day 2 began with a State of the Economy keynote from Jimmy Sanchez, Managing Director and Marketing Investment Executive, Bank of America Private Bank. The day continued with presenting companies in the Startup Showcase as well as presentations from Octane Capital & Growth clients Trubify, Veloce Energy, and Botanisol Analytics and our annual LaunchPad SBDC presentations from Cyrano.ai, Aberythmic (FOY), Homepie, Monetizr, Quidient, and Smerf. Cyrano.ai came home with the People's Choice Award and Aberythmic was the winner of the LaunchPad SBDC Award. 

    Through the event’s hybrid model, attendees were able to participate in-person or view the content via live steam.  The event was a huge success and Octane looks forward to welcoming attendees back for Tech Innovation Forum 2023!
