Octane, in partnership with Brado, will provide a weekly overview of national eye surgery related search activity and a key data point each week to show how different procedures or different states are trending in ways that indicate opportunities for ophthalmic companies and practices.  - Eye surgery (cataract, glaucoma, and LASIK) search activity plummeted in March and April. (Chart 1) - There was good news for LASIK in that the key question, “How much does LASIK cost” saw a month-over-month increase of 119% versus the prior four-week period. This shows that LASIK ‘buyers’ are becoming more active than they were a month ago. In fact, the buying activity questions are actually trending at an even higher rate. (Chart 2) - Keep in mind that search data varies by state and by procedure.
