    OCTANe Announces 2018 High Tech Innovation Award Winners

    Aliso Viejo, Calif., October 1, 2018 -- OCTANe, Orange County’s technology and life sciences accelerator organization, today announced the winners of its 2018 High Tech Innovation Awards. The awards program, which entered into its twenty-fifth year, honored Orange County-based companies that have demonstrated exceptional leadership while developing new technological advancements in their respective industries.

    Ten awards, selected by a panel of 12 independent judges, were awarded.

    2018 Winners:

    Outstanding Private Company CEO: Ladeira Poonian , iBASEt

    Outstanding Public Company CEO: Dean Stoecker, Alteryx

    Outstanding Private Technology Company: Mavenlink

    Outstanding Public Technology: CoreLogic

    Outstanding Emerging Technology Company: Site 1001

    Best Technology Innovation in a Consumer Product: Soft Health Technologies

    Best Technology Innovation in Software: NcompassTrac

    Best Innovation in MedTech / Life Sciences: Bonti

    VC of the Year: Okapi Capital

    Deal of the Year: LKQD

    Two additional awards were distributed at the event.  The UCI Samueli School of Engineering Innovator of the Year Award given to Dr. Kyriacos A. Athanasiouas from the University of California, Irvine, as well as the Leadership in the Success of Orange County Award, honoring Linda DiMario, Executive Vice President, Greater Irvine Chamber.

    During the event, Bill Carpou, CEO of OCTANe, announced the launch of the organization’s first ever capital campaign – intended to create 55,000 new jobs by 2030 and develop the infrastructure required to support this ambitious goal.

    “The goal of $3.3 million will provide the resources necessary to create a place for future generations to thrive,” said Carpou.

    This year’s event was hosted at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, Ca. and emceed by Jane King, founder & CEO of LilaMaxMedia LLC, a multi-platform provider of video content on consumer and business news.  King currently provides daily business reports from the NASDAQ Marketsite in Times Square for 70 TV stations as well as online through the TheStreet.com.

    The OCTANe High Tech Innovation Awards were sponsored by Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Greater Irvine Chamber, Haskell & White, Insperity, Irvine Company, JP Morgan Chase., Orange County Business Council, RSM, Savills Studley, Stradling, Squar Milner, Techspace and UPS.
