We view the start of OCTANe in 2002 as the creation stage. We then introduced conferences (Signature Events) and LaunchPad in our formation phase, which was led by two OCTANe prior CEO's Gary Augusta and Matthew Jenusitus. The transformation phase began when Bill Carpou, OCTANe's current CEO joined OCTANe in 2015 and in 2018, we entered the growth phase to take us through to our vision 2025 plan to create 22,000 technology jobs in Southern California.

Ben Bobo: First question, meaning word, the sort of vision starting, even started acting and then talk us through some of that progression over the years.
Bill Carpou: So the, you know, the vision came in 2002 by key leadership of uh, uh, you know, some of the organizations locally here in Orange County. And so we view that as the creation stage and we then moved to more of a formation stage and set up conferences and introduced LaunchPad as an accelerator. And Gary Augusta, Matthew Jenusitis led the organizations through both of those phases. And so I think as I, as I entered in 2015, we went through a little bit of a transformation stage and it was really just resetting the organization in terms of, you know, what we needed to do and how we needed to pivot, uh, in moving forward.
So today, in 2018, we entered a growth phase and, uh, we look at that, that take us towards our vision 2025 plan, which has some ambitious goals. And once we, once we achieve that, we then think that we'll have, we'll begin a sustained leadership role from 2025 on.
