WASHINGTON, D.C. – International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is proud to announce that Linda DiMario, Economic Development Consultant, has been renominated for a two-year term with the IEDC Board of Directors. The process took place during the annual board meeting on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at IEDC's 2021 Annual Conference in Nashville, TN. The upcoming term begins on January 1, 2022.
“We are very grateful for DiMario’s continued service to our Board of Directors,” said incoming IEDC Board Chair Todd Greene. “Her commitment will ensure IEDC is positioned to achieve great accomplishments in 2022.”

DiMario is a multi-dimensional economic development professional with over forty years’ experience in public, private and non-profit sectors. She was Greater Irvine Chamber’s Executive Vice President for over seven years leading a full scope of economic development and tourism work including award-winning business retention programs, a successful foreign direct investment initiative, skills gap and talent attraction solutions, growing the Irvine/OC innovation eco-system and winning the 2018 Presidential “E” Award for export assistance.
Currently, DiMario is contracted by the Greater Irvine Chamber to continue managing the Chamber’s successful Foreign Direct Investment work to encourage UK life science and tech company expansion to Irvine. In addition, DiMario is contracted by OCTANE (Orange County’s business accelerator) serving as Director, Community Engagement for the Octane Foundation for Innovation (OFI). DiMario manages a portfolio of community initiatives including Women Leaders of Octane; STEAM Fellows for underserved and underrepresented communities; Non-Profit Accelerator building sustainable and effective non-profit social enterprises; and Next WAVE cultivating the next generation of purpose-driven industry and ecosystem leadership.
Before joining the Chamber, DiMario was the owner of DiMario & Associates, an economic development, community branding and tourism consulting practice working with over 100 cities, counties and organizations across the U.S. to help grow, rebuild, re-invent or reimagine their economies; president and CEO of the Arlington (TX) Convention & Visitors Bureau instrumental in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium development and CEO of the Long Beach Area (CA) CVB taking a lead role in the city’s economic transformation. DiMario holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from Central Washington University and she is a U.S. Air Force veteran.
