At this year’s Tech Innovation Forum, we will have a unique panel: Imagine the Unimaginable: Post COVID-19 Roadmap Forward. Many businesses and the economy took an unprecedented pause as the world worked to flatten the curve of the Coronavirus. Our panelists will deep dive into what sectors will thrive and which will recover as we look past Coronavirus. In addition, there will be discussions on lessons learned and to plan for the next big event as well as what safeguards can be put in place that minimizes a black swan’s event impact.

Linda DiMario, Executive Vice President of the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce will moderate the discussion with Scott Cannon, CEO of Big Renz, Malek Moubasher, Independent Consultant and Sam Suhkon, Chief Information Security Officer at IntelligINTS and will focus on how the economy will change and how doing business will change in the future.

Moubasher led the Greater Irvine Chambers Disrupter Task Force and can talk credibly about industry sectors, verticals and jobs that were impacted by COVID-19, according to DiMario. “He has a very good perspective on these matters and will contribute some through provoking content. He is one of those people who can take baseline data and information, bring it to life and work to better understand what we can learn from it to better inform tough decision-making”, DiMario says.

As we look at the panel, Moubahser will provide insight into various verticals and jobs that have been impacted due to COVID-19 and how businesses will change moving forward. “COVID didn’t disrupt the jobs, it only accelerated the disruption that was already in place. The transformation to a remote working environment and virtual workplace was already progressing, what COVID did was accelerating it in sectors where were showing the most resistance like government, education and healthcare. Businesses were also transforming their services into the digital space already, but COVID made it very difficult for those who don’t have a digital presence to keep their market share and the connection with their customers. Geographical boundaries will fall, companies around the world will have access to talent everywhere and in any time zone, people who have skill relevant to the future and the right set of competences to build trust and succeed in the digital world are the ones who will find their place in the economy in the future.” Moubasher states.

Sukon, has a cybersecurity background and specializes in working with businesses to better prepare, manage and mitigate challenges, DiMario mentions. “Sam brings a complex set of expertise in cybersecurity and organization experience to help businesses define the challenges and identify the most effective solutions”, DiMario says.

We will also hear from Cannon who says, “The Companies that will survive and flourish are the companies who can leverage technology to meet the needs of the growing stay at home and online customer. If they haven’t already, businesses need to create or partner technology that will automate basic customer service. The recovery will be digital.

Things companies can do no- contactless customer and supplier experiences (payments, service, delivery of product), mitigate risks to supply chains, and recruit digital marketeers”

This panel is set to be one of the most interesting panels as it relates to today’s world. Join these distinguished speakers and as we can prepare for the roadmap ahead of COVID-19
