Winners Announced - The 2022 High Tech Awards

Aliso Viejo, Calif., September 29, 2022 — Octane, an organization leading the Southern California technology and medical technology business ecosystem since 2022, celebrated and recognized the individuals and companies that help make Orange County a center of technology and medical technology innovation at the 2022 High Tech Innovation Awards. 

Octane announced the winners of its 2022 High Tech Awards. The awards program honored Orange County-based companies that have demonstrated exceptional leadership while developing new technological advancements in their respective industries. This year, Octane received more than 150 submissions across 10 categories. The full list of finalists in all categories is available here.

Best Enterprise or B2B Technology Innovation: Kofax

Best Technology Company Leadership Team: Tarsus Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Outstanding Innovation in Medical Technology/Life Sciences: Renata Medical, Inc.

Best Technology CEO: Joshua Lee, Ardius

Outstanding Emerging Technology Company: CathWorks

Deal of The Year: MeridianLink, Inc.

Outstanding Technology Company: Intraratio Corporation

Best Consumer Technology Innovation: SUPER73, Inc.

Outstanding Large Disruptor/Innovator: Johnson & Johnson MedTech

Each company and individual has a story about their journeys and impact they are making in Orange County. Check out this highlight reel featuring many of the 2022 finalists.

 
This year, we introduced a new award that Octane created in honor of the 20th Anniversary,  The Impact Award. The Impact Award is for an individual who has demonstrated resiliency, entrepreneurship and made a significant impact in Orange County. It is about legacy. The award went to Farrokh Shokooh, Founder and BOD member, ETAP/Operation Technology, Inc. His story is a culmination of a lifetime of hard work and success as well as an example of excellent stewardship, leadership and long-term vision. 

The awards also celebrated Octane’s 20th anniversary with special recognition to the Octane Founders Jim Mazzo, Michael Mussallem, Dwight Decker, Tom Moebus and Matt Massengill.

In honor of Octane’s 20th anniversary, Octane’s CEO, Bill Carpou, recognized the founders for providing Octane’s vision and launch 20 years ago. As a testament to their commitment, these pioneers remain active participants and champions since founding Octane. Octane anticipates accelerating its impact through the Octane Impact Fund, a fundraising campaign that builds upon its legacy of tech innovation and growth to create a generational impact in Orange County for decades to come.

This year’s event was in Irvine, CA at AV Irvine and emceed by Steve Churm, Principal, Churm|360, LLC.
